The Leo Logo & What It Represents:
Just like the Lions logo, the Leo emblem features two lion profiles facing opposite directions, one looking to the past, symbolizing pride in our heritage, and the other looking forward, symbolizing hope and vision for the future.
At the center stands the word LEO, representing the strength and unity of young people in service.
The Leo Movement
Founded in 1957, the Leo Program inspires young people to develop leadership through service.
The name LEO stands for:
Leadership, Experience, Opportunity — the three pillars that define every Leo.
Today, Leos exist in over 140 countries, supported by Lions clubs and guided by the motto:
“Leadership Through Service.”
